Worksmart's 'Piece of Cake' Stand Proves to be a Real 'Show Stopper' at CIPD

This month we showcased our leading HR application ‘Peoplesmart’ at the CIPD annual conference and exhibition, however it was our ‘piece of cake’ marketing campaign that really caught the attention of delegates and led to the most successful exhibition we’ve ever had!

The ‘Peoplesmart’ software provides HR professionals with a seamless online system bringing together three operations; business, HR and finance.  So, to help explain this process to potential customers we came up with the idea that the software is like the ‘cream’ in a cake binding everything together. This fun concept worked incredibly well as we were able to design the stand with a cake theme, creating stand out, and with help from two very handsome models to grab delegates attention, we offered our visitors a free cup cake while they found out more about the product.

Our models gave out over 2000 cupcakes and we had over 70 qualified leads on the stand throughout the show. Post event reviews have already been printed stating that the Worksmart stand was the ‘most successful’ and ‘a real show stopper’ proving our approach to be a success by raising brand awareness to our core audience and the trade media.

The team are looking forward to seeing some amazing sales results from the exhibition.  Our Peoplesmart software provides the solution to a common problem experienced by large HR departments – which is effectively linking business processes to records and payment systems – without committing a huge investment to modify the whole system. Our concept may have been daring, but to a predominantly female audience, we were confident they would appreciate our cheeky tactics – which they did! It just proves that sometimes a risk is worth taking to differentiate yourself in the market!
