Colin Fox - Managing Director
Colin joined IBM after graduating from Oxford and trained as a systems engineer before moving into sales. He joined Logica for the first time in the 1980's and over a period of eight years headed up their insurance business in the UK, their flagship financial messaging software product business and managed their newly acquired New York business focused on financial services. He then spent six years as Managing Director of Intuitive Systems, a supplier of point of sale, call centre and web based applications to the financial services sector, growing this business fivefold and expanding internationally to Australia and the USA. He has been a director of a listed software company and managing director of a venture capital backed software company - both focused on the financial sector. More recently Colin spent another period at Logica, as Client Director for their insurance and retail financial services business.
Paddy MccGwire - Chairman
His career began at STC, a telecom electronics group. He then spent seven years at 3i investing in and managing technology investments and four years as a company director undertaking a number of turnarounds and advising on management buy-outs. In 1996 Paddy founded Cobalt as a specialist TMT corporate finance advisor where he has advised on a wide variety of sales, acquisitions and private equity transactions. He has been Worksmart Chairman since 2008.. Paddy is a Liveryman of the Information Technologists' Company, sits on the Board of the Action for Children’s Byte Night (charity) and spends his weekends if not on the rugby touchline, or playing tennis, enjoying boats.
Chris Williams - Corporate Development
Chris is an ACA and held various CFO and Business Development roles in the Technology industry at fast growing acquisitive groups such as Misys Plc. After 12 years in management Chris has spent the last 13 years as an adviser to entrepreneurs, Boards and Institutions operating in the Technology sector. Chris led the Technology Media and Telecoms sector teams as a partner at Andersen Corporate Finance and later at Deloitte where he was Global Head for the sector and focused on M&A, fundraising and business strategy. In 2007 he moved to Cobalt Corporate Finance. He has been non-executive director since 2008 at Worksmart. Chris is a keen football supporter and holds a private pilot license from the USA.
